Sequins are always appropriate

So here’s my first outfit post. This outfit I wore a few weeks ago going out for dinner. It was a Sunday night which is never very dressy. So I would call this look an evening casual type. Let’s start with the hair and make up. These are the date night blog posts from earlier in the month.

The wow piece of this outfit for me is the jacket which I bought two seasons ago in Forever21 plus. Rose gold in colour and completely covered in sequins it’s what holds the outfit together for me, the sequins create instant glamour and the colour is warm and very flattering. Sequins used to be worn only at festive times but since the sport luxe and casual dressy revolution started sequins are always appropriate.

I felt that the jacket was quite the statement so just wore a simple rose gold chain and pearls in my ears. The top is J by Jasper in debenhams , I’m a big fan of their designers because they cater for curves. The beige colour on its own can wash me out so I always wear this jersey chiffon top underneath a statement jacket. The band at the bottom gives a little shape but the movement in the chiffon meant I could have dessert! Very important!

The jeggings are by New Look and these are a staple in my wardrobe. They have them every season and suit my apple shape well. On this occasion I shunned the use of shape wear completely as I wanted comfort.

The loafers are tan and from Clark’s and the bag is from Michael Kors and is also tan. The virtues of having tan leather accessories are something worth a blog of their own.

Had I wanted more VaVa Voom i could have used tan heels and clutch x

So there it is my first blog post on my OOTE.

Catch more plus size fashion over the weekend.
