Dermablend for me has always been a stage make up type of situation. The older formula was thick and not appealing to me at all. Here is why. I’ve got mature skin. I’m galloping towards 40 at a rapid rate and my skin is showing all of the signs of it. Stepping up to the plate is the new formula , available in 6 shades and with an SPF 35 I was intrigued. The shade I’m wearing in the photo below is Nude, which is perfect for my skin tone which I would describe as Irish. Typically Irish. Not especially pale or porcelain but not olive or dark.
The fluid spread easily offering a heavily pigmented but not carry finish. It covered my broken veins and blemishes well. I used a little concealer on a blemish bit a otherwise it’s all dermablend.
Here you can see the effect in daylight and artificial light. The finish is flawless and natural and it doesn’t sit in fine lines. I used a little concealer around the eye area too as my eyes are predisposed to looked overdone of foundation gets too near them. I used a foundation brush to buff it all together. I’m loving the look altogether. So it’s a massive thumbs up from me.
