Loads of brands both high end and budget have jumped on the cushion foundation bandwagon in recent times and I was underwhelmed by many of them. Yes they are handy, portable and certainly offer a good alternative to a standard compact but which one really cut the mustard? The Body Shop one is long wearing , radiant and contains an SPF of 25, which is a decent level for our island here. Whenever I review a foundation I have to say I’m lucky to have good skin. This is down to genetics and hard work.
The effects of this one though are fairly impressive. it’s quick , I applied it with a brush, I’ll never switch to a sponge old habits die hard I’m afraid. The sponge is a great addition for on the go but flawless for me always starts with a Nima Jayne foundation brush.
It’s great in that it won’t exaggerate pores or fine lines. Although it’s not strictly long wear I found it lasted the working day and when topped up doesn’t leave tide marks or wear off patchy. One of my pet hates incidentally.
All of the products I used over it went on perfectly so this is good for the strobing and contouring brigade .. One of which I am.
This is great if you don’t like the feeling of a heavy foundation on your skin, it takes powder over it well but you will lose that beautiful radiance if you overdo the the powder, a smattering on the TZone would be enough.
