Capsule Dressing- Tan is mandatory

Buy cheap but twice is kinda my mantra for a lot of things and as a plus sized girl rarely do I buy anything that is cheap. Partly  because i wear a capsule wardrobe and partly because nothing in Penneys ever really fits me. I am also far from fashionable and my style isn’t exactly inspirational. However you can buy from department stores and the high street spending a little extra without going over the top. I think I have dressed like I am 35 since forever.I am conservative and so tend to hide the extra pounds but have a lot of times fallen into a trap of wearing clothes to hide rather that just dress my body. A bit of a talking to from a fashionable friend recently has seen me cop on. So far from fashionable here are my musing on capsule dressing after 30 but definitely with no upper age limit.

Everyone should own a tan handbag and a pair of practical tan boots. My tan bag is four years old and is a Michael Kors Jet Set tote and is no longer available however you can buy practically the exact same  one in Brown Thomas for €295.

The boots are from Dunnes and again last season Savida and were €55, suede and they have a small heel which makes them part Chelsea book part cowboy boot i think. If you aren’t a boot gal then invest in a ballerina pump or loafer the ones pictured below are from Clarks and were €65 again  three years old.

img_1515img_1517I think that into the mix I love a good pair of skinny jeans, Next is usually my destination for jeans and Marks and Spencer for pull on Jeggings, both retailing between €40-€50. My body likes comfort and stretch, and I am an apple shaped meaning I have tum and bum (lucky me) but relatively shapely legs and thighs which I attribute to lots of walking and having to support my bum that is quite frankly well padded. I am build for comfort though. Far from beauty but a little different for spring. What are your wardrobe staples?

Happy Sunday gals x
