SPF has always been important. A person’s natural skin colour influences their risk of UV damage, melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer and can be classified on a scale – the Fitzpatrick skin type classification scale, which ranges from 1 (high risk) to 6 (low risk). It considers skin colour (i.e. pale white to black), and how the skin reacts to sunlight (i.e. whether it burns easily, or tans). Now as many of us are working from home or have the kids running around the garden trying to expend extra energy, I thought I would do a round up on some new releases and my favourites which help with blue light (this is device light from phones, tablets and laptops.). I have had to become slightly more outdoorsy with the closure of my gym. I am less inclined as a result to venture out without SPF as although the weather has been a bit erratic the UVA rays are always there. I have also included some pharmacy favourites to help keep the whole family protected as according to the weather forecast, we are due some sun. Replication is usually essential with most SPF, as we sweat and swim.
